Silver chandelier

Together with waterjet cutting company C&W Snijtechniek
I made a silver chandelier for Groninger artists Vroegop/Schoonop.

First I debur everything.

Next I drill holes, so I can rivet everything later.

Part of the construction needed an open rivet.

So I used a silver tube.

The easiest way to do that was by using a punch.

Other parts I simply riveted.

All wearing gloves in order to save myself endless polishing at the end.

Here one layer has been riveted already.

Some loose parts.

Gently lift the whole thing up.

The artist signing his design.

The chandelier in its full glory, all lit up.

Together with its paper cousins.

The chandelier makes beautiful reflections on the ceiling.

This chandelier can be seen in Large Silverwork.
